Dark Eleventh by nokeek Dark Eleventh by nokeek
One of my first finished Doctor Who arts, inspired by "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS".

It's hard to imagine Eleven as dark or scary because he's so silly and childlike and much more optimistic than Nine and Ten. However, there are times, just for a moment when a glimpse of the previous doctors show, a sad, tired, lonely, haunted man (can he technically be called a man if he's alien or are man/woman strictly terms that can be used for humans? Just a random thought that came to me.) Besides, children are just as capable of being sad (they can even suffer from depression), angry, lonely, grieving, scared, traumatized and in pain as adults; just because Eleven thinks and acts a lot like a child doesn't mean he's always happy, carefree and doesn't suffer. He actually looks scared, he reminds me of the Empty Child, "just a scared boy in a gas mask looking for his mummy" :iconemptychildplz:; his eyes seem to be pleading for help and he looks like a scared hopeless child.

Beautifully done.  I agree-while most people view 11 as being rather silly (and he can be), I think a large part of it is to mask the dark side he has.  All The Doctors (even the Classic Era ones) had a dark side to them-some just showed it more than others.  In a way, he reminds me of Seven, who started out rather silly and harmless, then took a very dark turn towards the end of his tenure.

He should probably put a bandage on that arm, it's bleeding pretty badly....

He looks kinda sad and vulnerable, which I guess he kinda is in his dark moments, I dunno, fantastic job though :D

Thank you Meow :3
I think he doesn't care about bandages at this moment.
I really like his dark moments in some strange way - not when he is crying, but when he is sad, desperate or grim, and especially when he is pretending to be okay.

you're welcome

yeah, I agree, I like him...well I always feel bad for him when he's in his 'Dark' moments like you said when he's desperate, grim, pretending to be ok, and sad. I also like it when his dark side is Angry, like from Town of Mercy, that really scared me, that little scene actually probably scared me more than Blink and or Hide.

Is it weird if I say I kinda like Eleven on his "dark" moments? Cuz... it's really cool, I don't know :) misterious, impredictible, new and just awesome :) you should make more like this ;) great art

No, it's definitely not weird, I like this moments too. And I think, this year I will do a lot of dark art, because I can't stop imagining Eleventh death Dead (RIP)
